[Rock Band] And You…

without comments

Live

AC/DC : Live

Well it finally happened… AC/DC is coming to town, in “full” album form that is.

And guess what, the tracks are remixed by Mike Fraser for Rock Band. Awesome.

It looks that this release will be even more expensive than the Red Hot Chilli Peppers release of Blood Sugar Sex Magik which is $20 [1,600MSPoints]. The AC/DC “Track Pack” as it’s called will run somewhere around $40 [US]!!!

Which again I’m sure is not squarely on Harmonix but on those that hold the master and or publishing rights to the tracks.

Weak.

The tracks are really solid though:

“Thunderstruck”
“Shoot to Thrill”
“Back in Black”
“Hell Ain’t a Bad Place to Be”
“Heatseeker”
“Fire Your Guns”
“Jailbreak”
“The Jack”
“Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap”
“Moneytalks”
“Hells Bells”
“High Voltage”
“Whole Lotta Rosie”
“You Shook Me All Night Long”
“T.N.T.”
“Let There Be Rock”
“Highway To Hell”
“For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)”

Nice.

The entire press release can be read here.

Hold up just one sec though… this one’s gonna run you a cool 1,600 MS Points… yep that’s $19.99 [US] for those not fully in the Matrix yet.

A pretty good album and what will probably be mucho fun in the coming weekends… however, OUCH!!! Before anyone tears into Harmonix on this one, I can almost garuntee you that the cost issue is one of licensing.

Period.

[General] A Few Hours On The “Town”

without comments

So last night the Bunny and myself went out for dinner and decided afterward to head on over to the local video store. While there we picked up a few flix; Harold and Kumar: Escape From Guantanamo Bay, Lost Boys: The Tribe and Strange Wilderness.

We also happened to notice that they (the video store) had a copy of Wii Fit in the box (meaning in the building) and well… we snagged that.

The kid “helping” us at the video store looked exactly like Ethan Suplee, I shit you not.

Oh and you can alwasy go look for your Wii here or a Wii Fit a lil more over here.

When we got home we only watched one movie and that was Harold and Kumar. Yeah not as funny as the first, but still tolerable which means I made it through the entire film, which is always a monumental task for me these days.

We’ll see if I can get through the Lost Boys sequel, this decade….

[GameZ] How Lego Can You Go?

without comments

So due to heat restrictions this past weekend the Bunny and myself spent a good portion of the time playing LEGO Indiana Jones for the 360… we’re about 92% complete and both have roughly thirty of the fifty achievements for the game and think this might be one of those thousand-point gamerscore games. But you know only time will tell.

On the flipside, we finally joined the “white” side and picked up a Wii this weekend when we were out a local grocery store. They happened to have them (about ten actually) sitting there Sunday morning so we snagged one… unfortunately they were all out of the Wii Fit. We now know the shipment days for nearly all the stores in our area so we’ll check back with them throughout the week. We never got around to hooking up the console though, but we’ll get there sooner or later (probably later).

Because of this I’m sending back the copies of GTA:IV and the Devil May Cry 4 (Xbox360) that I rented from an online rental place… so that we can get some Mario love on the Wii.

Also did you hear the one about Rock Band 2?

[GameZ] LEGO: My Controller

Indiana Jones

So the Bunny and I have played the latest LEGO polygonal incarnation based on another license known as Indiana Jones.

It’s pretty damn good. It makes for a great joint gaming experience and is mildly amusing… (and at times frustrating)… there are points where if you screw up you’ll have to abaondan your progress and start over.

>.<

Overall the experience is pretty damn good, and the Bunny is totally adicted to this game, I can tell this will be one where she’ll try for that time consuming 1,000 point, 100% complete gamerscore.

[GameZ] Guitar Hero IV

“The most realistic drums ever.”

I’m sure they mean for drums that aren’t actually drums… at least I hope that ’s what they mean.

Hopefully these drums will be way, way, way, way, way better than the Rock Band drums in terms of quality and adjustability.

[GameZ] The Force Un-Released?

without comments

I swear this game will never come out… I feel like Cartman in the Go God Go episode.

I won’t buy it since the hype machine has gone for far too long and my interest has sort of declined… oh well I’ll still rent it, but you can scope it all official like here.
