[Rock Band] And You…
Well it finally happened… AC/DC is coming to town, in “full” album form that is.
And guess what, the tracks are remixed by Mike Fraser for Rock Band. Awesome.
It looks that this release will be even more expensive than the Red Hot Chilli Peppers release of Blood Sugar Sex Magik which is $20 [1,600MSPoints]. The AC/DC “Track Pack” as it’s called will run somewhere around $40 [US]!!!
Which again I’m sure is not squarely on Harmonix but on those that hold the master and or publishing rights to the tracks.
Weak.
The tracks are really solid though:
“Thunderstruck”
“Shoot to Thrill”
“Back in Black”
“Hell Ain’t a Bad Place to Be”
“Heatseeker”
“Fire Your Guns”
“Jailbreak”
“The Jack”
“Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap”
“Moneytalks”
“Hells Bells”
“High Voltage”
“Whole Lotta Rosie”
“You Shook Me All Night Long”
“T.N.T.”
“Let There Be Rock”
“Highway To Hell”
“For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)”
Nice.
The entire press release can be read here.

This week sees the release of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Blood Sugar Sex Magik LP.
The ablum contains the following tracks:

Under the Bridge
Naked in the Rain
Apache Rose Peacock
The Greeting Song
My Lovely Man
Sir Psycho Sexy
They’re Red Hot
*Give It Away, is already included on the Rock Band 2 game disc.
Hold up just one sec though… this one’s gonna run you a cool 1,600 MS Points… yep that’s $19.99 [US] for those not fully in the Matrix yet.
A pretty good album and what will probably be mucho fun in the coming weekends… however, OUCH!!! Before anyone tears into Harmonix on this one, I can almost garuntee you that the cost issue is one of licensing.
Period.

Ready to get your head spinning? This week are we really covering the spread. First we have a three pack of songs from Jimmy Buffett for $1.99 each (160 Microsoft Points) or $5.49 (440 Microsoft Points) for the pack. Jimmy Buffett rerecorded the three songs for exclusive use in Rock Band, turns out he really digs the game.
Also along for the ride this week is the long-awaited Disturbed three-pack of songs from their new album INDESTRUCTIBLE. Best Buy recently announced they are partnering with MTV Games and Hamonix to offer Disturbed fans the opportunity to download two free tracks from the band’s highly anticipated new album, INDESTRUCTIBLE. By pre-ordering the album at www.BestBuy.com/disturbed, fans will receive instructions to download title track “Indestructible” and “Inside The Fire” for Rock Band from Xbox Live. Both of those songs will also be available to all Rock Band owners on 360 and PS3 along with a third track from the album “Perfect Insanity”. [GameZ] Rock Banding & Stuff

It’s that time of week again… Rock Band DLC, this week looks like:
Beetlebum as made famous by Blur (cover)
Hier Kommt Alex by Die Toten Hosen (master)
Countdown to Insanity by H-BlockX (master)
Perfekte Welle by Juli (master)
Manu Chao by Les Wampas (master)
Hysteria by Muse (master)
Rock N Roll Star by Oasis (master)
New Wave by Pleymo (master)
Monsoon by Tokio Hotel (master)
No track pack again this week so if you want to snag a discount you’ll need to buy something else… otherwise it’s $18 for all.
But there was this post over on the official Rock Band forums which announced the second full album release; The Cars – The Cars.
Sweet!!!
That’s going to run you $2 per or $15 for the entire thing which saves you some “change”.
So keep rockin’ y’all!
[GameZ] The Force Un-Released?
[GameZ] Rockin’ In The Fee World

This weeks DLC for Rock Band (PS3 & Xbox360) appears to be as follows:
Hanging on the Telephone by Blondie (master)
Train in Vain by The Clash (master)
Kool Thing by Sonic Youth (master)
No word as if these will be available in a track pack as well, but it doesn’t appear so.
[Gaming] Rock Band : Albums Ho..?

So MTV has finally announced full album downloads for Rock Band starting next week!
Unfortunately for me they are releasing Judas Priest’s Screaming For Vengeance LP first (April 22nd).
May sees the release of The Cars, The Cars album and they’ll follow that up in June with The Pixies Doolittle romp.
The info from AP can be found here the Yahoo! way.
Also you may have noticed or missed out that Motley Crue has decided to release their “new” single exclusively on the Rock Band platform. It’s titled Saints of Los Angeles and is from their upcoming “new” album.
Yet somehow the release of Nevermind [Nirvana] is “…just a rumor.“!!!
But it looks like what isn’t a rumor is the price tags: $15 for an album $2 for a single track.
