[Gamez] The Force: Re-Hashed

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
So I’ve been playing Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for a few days now, and well… I’m glad I didn’t buy it and just rented it. It’s one of those games that… you know, you just don’t really think man I really love how this game flows.
The fights are incredibly frustrating and almost make you think; “It took how long to do this?”
There’s some things that are to put it bluntly just not well done and others which are not polished as they should be.
I might do a more in-depth scathing review later but right now I just don’t have the time, or the ability to put into words my dissapointment.
[GameZ] Rockin’ With A Twang?
So yesterday Harmonix announced the release of Pearl Jam’s Ten album due out this March to coincide with the bands re-release of the album.
And today they released a bunch of “country” songs.
Huh.
Hmm.
Well then.
[Gaming] Come As They Were

Well it’s that time again, Rock Band downloads for the week of Oct/21st, no full albums this week but we do get to hear some more Nirvana (finally).
The track pack includes the following:
Breed
Lounge Act
On a Plain
Polly
Something in the Way
Stay Away
Territorial Pissings
It will be $11 [US] for all seven songs.
Official release notes here.
[Rock Band] And You…
Well it finally happened… AC/DC is coming to town, in “full” album form that is.
And guess what, the tracks are remixed by Mike Fraser for Rock Band. Awesome.
It looks that this release will be even more expensive than the Red Hot Chilli Peppers release of Blood Sugar Sex Magik which is $20 [1,600MSPoints]. The AC/DC “Track Pack” as it’s called will run somewhere around $40 [US]!!!
Which again I’m sure is not squarely on Harmonix but on those that hold the master and or publishing rights to the tracks.
Weak.
The tracks are really solid though:
“Thunderstruck”
“Shoot to Thrill”
“Back in Black”
“Hell Ain’t a Bad Place to Be”
“Heatseeker”
“Fire Your Guns”
“Jailbreak”
“The Jack”
“Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap”
“Moneytalks”
“Hells Bells”
“High Voltage”
“Whole Lotta Rosie”
“You Shook Me All Night Long”
“T.N.T.”
“Let There Be Rock”
“Highway To Hell”
“For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)”
Nice.
The entire press release can be read here.
[Rock Band] Red Hot Harmonix Peppers

Well it’s that time of the week again, Tuesday… and you know what that means, more downloadable content for all you Rock Band and Rock Band 2 junkies out there.
This week sees the release of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Blood Sugar Sex Magik LP.
The ablum contains the following tracks:
The Power of Equality
If You Have to Ask
Breaking the Girl
Funky Monks
Suck My Kiss
I Could Have Lied
Mellowship Slinky in B Major
The Righteous & The Wicked
Blood Sugar Sex Magik
Under the Bridge
Naked in the Rain
Apache Rose Peacock
The Greeting Song
My Lovely Man
Sir Psycho Sexy
They’re Red Hot
*Give It Away, is already included on the Rock Band 2 game disc.
Hold up just one sec though… this one’s gonna run you a cool 1,600 MS Points… yep that’s $19.99 [US] for those not fully in the Matrix yet.
A pretty good album and what will probably be mucho fun in the coming weekends… however, OUCH!!! Before anyone tears into Harmonix on this one, I can almost garuntee you that the cost issue is one of licensing.
Period.
[Gamez] Rushin’ On R.B.

So today sees the release of more “fresh” DLC for Rock Band/2 today, this weeks releases include the previously promoted Rush album Moving Pictures.
Rush – Moving Pictures (Album) – [$10.99 / 880 MS Points]
Tom Sawyer (orig version)
Red Barchetta
YYZ
Limelight (orig version)
The Camera Eye
Witch Hunt
Vital Signs
Individual Track Release(s): – [$1.99 / 160 MS Points Ea.]
Bad Religion – Sorrow
The Cult – She Sells Sanctuary
Hot Hot Heat – Bandages
Kasabian – Shoot the Runner
Sleater-Kinney – You’re No Rock N Roll Fun
Stone Roses – Love Spreads
So if you were to grab all the releases this week it would run you aproximately $23 [US]. Can’t say that I’d be in on that, but to each his own.
Maybe someday we’ll see a Werid Al greatest hits comp for Rock Band… yeah, just Eat It.
[General] It’s Not Friday Yet, Damn
Hey all, how’s tings?
It’s really nice outside… (more or less) and it’s not quite ninety yet… (thank {insert deity name here}), and it may not be hump day but I’m sure we all agree it’s always a titties day.
So:

Anyways, did you all hear/read about the upcoming Rock Band 2 game as well as perihperals?
Oh damn they look so sexy… umm so, so, sexy.
That bad boy is gonna run ya around $300 [US], (but it doubles as a MIDI electronic drum kit yo!).
Zen baby… also don’t forget that the “greatest hits” album for the Who on Rock Band (1) is available today (though it’s $20 for the complete album)…
There’s just no time for slacking today, it really sucks.
Peace yo.
P.S.
You know what I could really use…

Oh yeah!
[GameZ] Rockishness?
Rock Band DLC announced for next Tuesday is… ummm… I have no idea, check it all here.
“Next week we have the MTV2 3-Pack and a track from Maximo Park (which isn’t in the three-pack).“
Hmmm…. yeah that’s all I have to say about that.
[GameZ] Rockin’ To The Buffett

The word on this weeks Rock Band DLC can be found here.
Ready to get your head spinning? This week are we really covering the spread. First we have a three pack of songs from Jimmy Buffett for $1.99 each (160 Microsoft Points) or $5.49 (440 Microsoft Points) for the pack. Jimmy Buffett rerecorded the three songs for exclusive use in Rock Band, turns out he really digs the game.
Also along for the ride this week is the long-awaited Disturbed three-pack of songs from their new album INDESTRUCTIBLE. Best Buy recently announced they are partnering with MTV Games and Hamonix to offer Disturbed fans the opportunity to download two free tracks from the band’s highly anticipated new album, INDESTRUCTIBLE. By pre-ordering the album at www.BestBuy.com/disturbed, fans will receive instructions to download title track “Indestructible” and “Inside The Fire” for Rock Band from Xbox Live. Both of those songs will also be available to all Rock Band owners on 360 and PS3 along with a third track from the album “Perfect Insanity”. Each Disturbed track will be available for $.99 per track (80 Microsoft Points) for a limited time, or $2.99 (240 Microsoft Points) for the three pack.
Tracks are as Follows-
“Margaritaville” by Jimmy Buffett (master – new original recording)
“Cheeseburger in Paradise” by Jimmy Buffett (master – new original recording)
“Volcano” by Jimmy Buffett (master – new original recording)
“Indestructible” by Disturbed (master)
“Inside the Fire” by Disturbed (master)
“Perfect Insanity” by Disturbed (master)
[GameZ] Rock Banding & Stuff

It’s that time of week again… Rock Band DLC, this week looks like:
Beetlebum as made famous by Blur (cover)
Hier Kommt Alex by Die Toten Hosen (master)
Countdown to Insanity by H-BlockX (master)
Perfekte Welle by Juli (master)
Manu Chao by Les Wampas (master)
Hysteria by Muse (master)
Rock N Roll Star by Oasis (master)
New Wave by Pleymo (master)
Monsoon by Tokio Hotel (master)
No track pack again this week so if you want to snag a discount you’ll need to buy something else… otherwise it’s $18 for all.
But there was this post over on the official Rock Band forums which announced the second full album release; The Cars – The Cars.
Sweet!!!
That’s going to run you $2 per or $15 for the entire thing which saves you some “change”.
So keep rockin’ y’all!
