[NFL] Romo Please!

So yesterday was the great slacktastic day of not sleeping… [sigh] I did however get to watch the Cowboys (meaning the offense), have a complete forth quarter meltdown resulting in a loss to the Steelers.
They only lost by a touchdown (which was thrown directly to the DB and returned for a touchdown in the last moments of the game). Until then it was 13 -13 and the Cowboys were still in control (of their tears).
Amazingly enough the Cowboys put a hurt on Pit with their defense, I’ll admit I didn’t see that coming… I did see Romo turning the ball over (not three three times mind you) but you had to know he’d put it into some DB or LBs hands during the game once or twice.
Oh well… I still think they’ll make the playoffs, not sure it will matter but maybe it will. May, be.
Dallas does have to face the Giants and Ravens at home and then head on the road to Philly. Even if they win out they might not make it… only time will tell but as long as the Bucs do something I’ll still watch the playoffs.
[NFL] Talk About Weaksauce
[NFL] The Pacman Commeth

So by now I’m sure most of you have heard of the news that Adam “Don’t Call Me Pacman” Jones was in some type of altercation with Dallas Cowboys security, (yes the team has their own security forces).
More than likely he’ll have to go to New York to talk with Goodell (NFL commish) and we’ll see if this is swept under the rug or if something very bad comes of it.
This on the heels of hearing that Terrence Newman the Pro-Bowl cornerback for the Cowboys is out with a sports hernia for quite the minute. Which means Jones will have to step in and continue to fill that void.
[sigh]
Oh well at least they didn’t lose to the Redskins…. oh wait.
[NFL] Someone In The Crowd…
I’m not sure why they (the NFL) needs to play the other games today… can we just fast forward to the Packer and Cowboy contest tonight on Sunday Night Football?
There are quite a few people actually picking the Packers to win this game based on the fact that Dallas hasn’t won in Lambeau field in ever, and their battle against the Eagles on MNF (Monday Night Football) was just “too much” so the thinking there is that they can’t get up like that for a second week in a row.
And much is being made of the their previous meeting last year when both teams were ten and one (10 – 1) where Packers QB Aaron Rodgers played extremely well coming in for Brett Farve who was injured in the early moments of that game. The Packers played well but the Cowboys made a lot of mistakes (which they are still doing this year) but ultimately won that contest 37 to 24.
Least we not forget also that the Cowboys get to gameplan for the Rodgers as well as introduce the amazing Felix Jones into the return game as well as into the backfield.
I would love to see them line up Felix on the outside at the one or three reciever spot and see what comes out of that.
This should be a great game either way but I’m sticking with the boys to win this one thirty seven to twenty four in a amazing display of offense from both teams.
Good times.
Go Boys!!!
[NFL] Damn Dem Boys
RB #22 Emmit Smith
I read and article (excerpt) over at ESPN this morning of Jeff Pearlman’s book Boys Will Be Boys, a recount of the early nineties and the Dallas Cowboys dynasty.
I saw this and couldn’t stop laughing:
“Personally,” says one Cowboy, “I thought Kevin Smith was a better player.” Whereas the other primary cornerbacks — Smith, Larry Brown and Clayton Holmes — embraced contact, Sanders was a feather duster. When he tackled, it was with the gusto of a 90-year-old woman.
What’s funny is my Dad and I used to say the same thing, Kevin Smith was my favorite corner he was way more physical and an all around better football player than “Primetime”, however Smith paid the price by having ankle injuries and the like throughout his tenure with the Boys.
Oh and check this gem:
“One time a running back ran a sweep toward him, and Deion dove half-hearted into the turf,” says Case. “We’re watching film the next day, razzing him pretty good. As serious as could be, he said, ‘I saw that dude coming and I had to make a business decision.’”
I remember him doing that in so many games… that’s why I never really liked Dieon “the football player” very much.
You can check out more excerpts of the book here.
[NFL] Philly vs. Dallas, Believe Dat

Did you happen to catch last nights Monday Night Football clash between the two favorites out of the NFC East? The Eagles and Cowboys. What a flippin’ game.
Better then most MNF games the past few years and especially those ones featuring this rivalry.
In the end Dallas won forty one (41) to thirty seven (37) over the Eagles, in a crazy whacky (most points ever in MNF) sort of way.
Good times.
[NFL] Oh Hell Yes!!!
It’s that time of the football year again… Philly versus Dallas on MNF.
Yay baby!!!
So let’s preview:
And a flashback.
[Sports/NFL] WTF on MNF
Remember this game?
I do, oh yeah baby… good times.
[Sports] NFL, Pacman/Owens

Looks like Pacman is “partially” reinstated so he can work out with the team. Also word comes that T.O. has re-signed with the ‘Boys as well.
