[GameZ] Rockers… Hmm…

So by now I’m sure most of you have heard about the upcoming sequel to Rock Band titled Rock Band 2. Despite having said many times that Rock Band was a franchise in and of itself and that going forward they wouldn’t need to make sequels just add-ons if you will. Well we all knew that was a load of horse poo, especially after the drum kits pathetic performance, (extremely high failure rates, and what no velocity sensitivity or even hi-hats or crashses?)… lame.
Anyways… this weeks DLC is pretty egh… you can scope them all here. I personally won’t be buying anymore tunes until I can be assured that I’ll stay within the Rock Band scheme… I mean that GH4 drum kit alone makes me want to jump ship… but I’ll reserve judgement until I see what Harmonix is going to play on the river.
I am really sad about there being no Who full album released though… that makes me very sad… instead $20 for a greatest hits album? Egh.. I’m sure that will be nice for some but certainly not for me….
…oh well… I just wish they would introduce interop capabilities for their controllers…. damn you guys.
Also you may want to scope the IGN interview with RB2 designer Dan Teasdale over here.
[GameZ] How Lego Can You Go?

So due to heat restrictions this past weekend the Bunny and myself spent a good portion of the time playing LEGO Indiana Jones for the 360… we’re about 92% complete and both have roughly thirty of the fifty achievements for the game and think this might be one of those thousand-point gamerscore games. But you know only time will tell.

On the flipside, we finally joined the “white” side and picked up a Wii this weekend when we were out a local grocery store. They happened to have them (about ten actually) sitting there Sunday morning so we snagged one… unfortunately they were all out of the Wii Fit. We now know the shipment days for nearly all the stores in our area so we’ll check back with them throughout the week. We never got around to hooking up the console though, but we’ll get there sooner or later (probably later).
Because of this I’m sending back the copies of GTA:IV and the Devil May Cry 4 (Xbox360) that I rented from an online rental place… so that we can get some Mario love on the Wii.
Also did you hear the one about Rock Band 2?
[Gear] E-MU, Tastes Good The Second Time Around
Interesting for all those gearheads out there that want to sorta walk from way back to the now.
Happy Friday all!
[GameZ] LEGO: My Controller

So the Bunny and I have played the latest LEGO polygonal incarnation based on another license known as Indiana Jones.
It’s pretty damn good. It makes for a great joint gaming experience and is mildly amusing… (and at times frustrating)… there are points where if you screw up you’ll have to abaondan your progress and start over.
>.<
Overall the experience is pretty damn good, and the Bunny is totally adicted to this game, I can tell this will be one where she’ll try for that time consuming 1,000 point, 100% complete gamerscore.

Double Chin Sad Man: George Carlin Out @ 71
From AP Writer Keith St. Clair:
Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television. Some People Are Stupid. Stuff. People I Can Do Without.
George Carlin, who died of heart failure Sunday at 71, leaves behind not only a series of memorable routines, but a legal legacy: His most celebrated monologue, a frantic, informed riff on those infamous seven words, led to a Supreme Court decision on broadcasting offensive language.
