[ROFL] Boy Butter
I really have nothing witty to say about this.
I mean it’s Boy Butter.
It’s probably the smartest thing since the Make Your Own Dildo kit and would be perfect for a wedding present to any grooms to be out there.
[GameZ] Finally?
Well as I’m sure most of you know Grand Theft Auto IV has “finally” arrived on the streets today as I’m sure you’ve seen by the blasting of “press” in your face today.
‘Grand Theft Auto IV‘ is released by Rockstar Games.
Man stabbed while waiting to buy Grand Theft Auto IV
Grand Theft Auto IV is out today, but what does the M-rating mean?
Game Group relishing hotly anticipated launch of Grand Theft Auto IV
Grand Theft Auto IV: Media Fantasies and Delusions
Etc.
The Bunny and I still have to beat two more cities in Rock Band, (one of which requires the incompletion of the daunting Endless Set List). And being that the last game I played “extensively” and I use that term loosely was Mass Effect I’m not in any rush to go get GTAIV now or in the future.
Besides I don’t buy many games anymore due to lack of time and the rising costs of everything these days, so I prefer to just rent online for only $25 [US] a month. There’s very few games I’ll drop any cheddar on these days, the only one that I’ve purchased in the past few years since I got my 360 has been Rock Band and a few used games for around $7 [US].
I’m sure all the fan boys and prepubescents will go crazy over this game, make Take-Two a stash of cash and cause EA to up it’s offer to an easy half trillion to acquire them. ;)
That’s the real reason TT wouldn’t allow anything to happen until after the games release, it’s so obvious.
So yeah… it’s only Tuesday… and not Friday yet.
[FlashBack] Wow, Really… Two?

I can hardly believe that it’s been nearly two years since I moved over from other blogging software to the silky smooth WordPress “collective”.
Well here’s to all the good things to come for this Slack-Pro in the coming months and to hopefully more years of slacking.

[MovieZ] Hip-Hop Is FED…?

DVD Cover
I’m not really sure what to say about this “movie”, but it does sound… ummmm intriguing?
Three members of an elite government agency called the Hip-Hop Task Force are sent to Los Angeles to investigate the murder of up-and-coming rap star Elliot Jones. The investigation reveals the inner workings of the Feds involvement with the Hip Hop community and reveals the governments association with hot button topics such as “studio gangsters” and “the stop snitchin movement.” As the investigation takes unexpected turns, the only sure thing is: lyrics can become deadly.
Yeah I just really don’t know what to say.
I guess this is volume two, which means there was a volume one, I’m in the wrong business.
[MovieZ] Snoozerfield..zZ Z z zz…

So last night the Bunny and myself decided to rent some movies one of which was the often talked about Cloverfield and I’m not really sure what to say other than… we barely got thirty or so minutes into the movie.
I just can’t even bring myself back to watching this thing… all I can say is to really sum this thing up would be: Blair Witch Camera Work + Cheesy Porn Movie Acting / Video Game Special Effects * Lawrence of Arabia Running Time = The cinematic algebraic formula for F’ This I’m Outta Here.
I sort of get what the “filmmakers” were trying to do I suppose but ultimately I just didn’t care… and as almost all “filmmakers” will tell you, if you don’t care… chances are you’ll start to watch reruns of Buck Rogers.
[Gaming] Rockin’ Still
Well this weeks announcement’s for Rock Band downloads are as follows:
The Mother Hips – “Red Tandy” (MASTER)
The Mother Hips – “Time Sick Son of a Grizzly Bear” (MASTER)
Smashing Pumpkins – “Zero” (MASTER)
The one thing that bothers me is the following:
“This week’s tracks will *not* be available as a pack, and must be downloaded separately.”
Hmmmm… that means it looks like a $6 download week for all the DLC, beh.
[Gear] Yammie!!! What A Rack!!!
Well looks like it finally happened… a price drop in the sexy Yamaha Motif-Rack ES unit.
I snagged mine way back when for $200 [US] more… for either price it’s well worth the money.

Motif-Rack ES
The main reason for the price drop?
Well it’s got to be the announcement of the Motif-Rack XS. (Which finally has real-time front panel controls!!!!)

[Music] DIY Drum Kits
For those musically inclined DIY nerds that just want to do it because they can.
Andrew Rudson gives you… the Drum Machine: “Rock Band drums on your PC“.

Drum Machine . Screenshot
The system requirements are not that intense:
- Windows XP or Vista
- DirectX 9.0c (if you get missing dll errors, make sure you update your DirectX)
- ** Microsoft XBOX 360 controller driver **
- A decent video card (shader support recommended, but not required)
- A soundcard with speakers
- 128MB of RAM
- 5MB hard drive space
- RockBand USB drums (“hacked” to work with Windows)
While you don’t get velocity sensitivity and such other possible after touch etc… it does make for an “electric kit” on the cheap.
Though there’s just something really sexy about the Roland TD-205 V-Pro Series.

[Gaming] Power Rocked!!! (finally)
Finally… finally… finally….
After about six weeks of on and on play I finally beat Green Grass and High Tides in solo guitar career expert mode for Rock Band on 360.
This resulted in the following achievements:

Axe Assassin
40![]()
Finished Guitar Solo Tour on Hard.

Lord of the Strings
50![]()
Finished Guitar Solo Tour on Expert.
For those that don’t know if you were to just play through and instrument on expert and complete the solo career you’d get the achievements for the lower levels as well. [Easy, Medium, Hard] Which is why I skipped playing on hard mode when I realized that. [shrug]
Anyways… this means I can finally, finally, finally stop playing that damned able song to try and get those two achievements. Now I can focus on singing and drumming, which I think I’ll be able to get through the 100% vocal and expert vocal before I ever get the drumming completed due to the faulty drum “controllers” that seem to run rampant through the Rock Band community.
So I guess the bottom line is I have accomplished thirty three of the fifty possible achievements in the game, and I hope to have them all by the end of summer. (Well maybe not that Endless Set List on Expert…. ;)])
