Alex - “Dude your bed is a car.“
Jeff - “Yeah, but it’s a fucking sweet car.”

“It’s just a ride, and we can change it anytime we want.” - Bill Hicks
When we last left our beer warriors they were dreaming their dreams… exceptionally earlier due to the fact they had woken up very early in the A.M. that day and had consumed many, many tasty beverages which caused them to shut their eyes and evade “capture” while watching the Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
Having awoken to various sounds during the evening like the sound of awesome nothingness at the coast… the Bunny and the Bear jumped to and decided they should hit a local eatery when it opened… you know prior to “everyone else” getting there.
So the Panda roams the early AM streets of PC trying to procure some shaving cream, tooth brush and water. As Pandas are oft to do, he comes up short handed.
And though he was unable to procure all of the assigned items he was able to find this:

Pacific City Sunrise
Following the ritual abuse of the washroom… we stroked out [giggle] towards the Grateful Bakery.
Where we were met by a rather large number of individuals already consuming they yummy yums of the yeast-masters.
We were seated in our own side-deck of the building since they needed to allow for overflow… so it would seem they knew today would be a busy day.

Challah French Toast!!!
After we finally get some attention, I order the French toast (naturally) and the Bunny orders an omelette. A huge massive three egg, bean omelette.
While we wait we sip on our respective caffeine applicators and wax philosophical on all things tasty, and in the moment. At this point the area that we are in, previously home to ourselves alone now includes a number of other bakery-goers.
Interestingly enough… every “adult” male in that room ordered the French toast and the accompanying female had something like an omelette or “country” style breakfast.

Breakfast Brew
After a while our food shows up and we partake in the awesomeness that is fresh bakery goodness. After we finish up… we head on out back towards whence we came.
On our way back we look at all the shops “new and old” as well as various other idiosyncrasies of the landscape.

Crossing The River Early In The Morn
After realizing that we had walked quite a ways to get to the bakery… we agreed that the return route should encompass the beach itself.
Along the way we encounter only a handful of people and a gwap of seagulls.
Which meant we were in grave danger of having our clothes marbleized at any moment.

End of Open Area
It turns out that we were quite the distance from the hotel… we had gotten in a nice two and a half plus mile (roundtrip) walk all before ten A.M., which made us both proclaim; “Well that makes up for the past six months.”
[chuckle]
As is the case for us… we kept on trucking…. and trucking…

Ass End of Open Area
And trucking…

Moving Right Along, Dum De Dum
Finally we arrive back at our room… tired. We’d been up for almost six plus hour and the Bunny needed a break. So I finished watching the Chronicles and then put in Spider-man 3.
Needless to say I found the movie to be pretty freakin’ dull… seems that, that series declined immediately after the first one.
But that’s ok really, since I got to spend the better part of six hours playing in the briar.
Of what I say though, my favorite part of the movie was Bruce Campbell.

Give Me Some Sugah Baby!
So it got to be that time of day so we picked up and headed out. We played with the wild bunnies, the black one being the wildest. Then it was over to a local pizza parlor and picked up some goodies. Which turned out to be nastiness. Though we did get to suck on some more Pelican beers in our room which made up for it a bit.
So the day goes on further and we watch some more DVDs that we picked up on our return from the pizza parlor.. but just generally relax for hours… which felt oh so good.
I do have to comment though… Vacancy. I’ll never get that hour and a half back, ’nuff said.
Ratatouille on the other hand… though formulaic and predictable it was worth it, the Bunn and I agreed, two ears up.
Then we get up again to go get dinner… but by this point there’s so many people in town still that the wait is out the doors at the Pelican. We know because are balcony overlooks the parking lot and entryway of the pub.
So being the hare-apparent’s that we are, we phoned in the order. As we head to go pick it up we see the mass amounts of people all crammed into a small waiting space… and hear that the wait is about forty-five minutes for seating… and has been since about 1PM. (but it was only fifteen minutes for call-in).
Genius!
So after a day of walking, French toast, Pelican beer, MarioDS, DVDs, and amazing company… we finally drifted away.
