Skateboarders know that the annual Go Skateboarding Day is pretty much NO Skateboarding Day in the eyes of law enforcement. We’ve all had our fair share of testosterone-fueled police power trips, but sometimes luck’s on our side, and we have the video camera rolling while their dirty hooves are pushed against our backs.Last week, a few kids in Arkansas were out skating for Go Skating Day and had a run-in with an officer. Unfortunately, the kids fought the law, and the law won. But thanks to a really smart videographer and Youtube, the skateboarders are about to really raise disorderly conduct.
If this angers you, then you’re a normal, red-blooded human being.

So we can see the ‘outrage’ when a so called officer of the ‘law’ assaults a adolescent for riding a skate board.
It’s all perception…
However, factually all we have here is simply one man being violent with another man based on another mans opinion.
So the question really is: when is physical violence acceptable?
So today is “employee appreciation day” here at my office… which means I get to leave early and get paid to drink and play golf, and the drinks will be bought for me.
Woot, woot. And minus a few things (the pain in my tooth being the big one) all is pretty swanky today.
So last night was a recovery night from the rompus activities of Monday night… whew… (and it was needed).
So the plan was to go low key and stay in the crib… I stopped off at the store and picked up some Vitamin Water, pizza and Shooter on DVD.
(:fyi: The endurance ‘flavor’ [peach-mango] is pure liquid ass… and not good ass in any way shape or form. Bleck!)
Get home and the roommate is there… informs me he’s off to get dogs… and so gets us all some dogs from the Shack for us all to mow down while we scope out “Shooter“. (No need for pizza now.)
So the Bunny, Phatthew and myself sit down to watch the movie and grub out when he gets home… and… yeah it was actually a really good action movie.
Steph mentioned at one point that Mark Wahlberg looked “skinny”… turns out he lost 20 pounds for the role and was lookin’ pretty ripped.
Some interesting things about the film were some not so subtle jabs regarding current affairs and references to quite a few recent “events”.
One of the most obvious was where Wahlberg was sitting at his computer with a copy of the 9/11 Commission Report sitting on his desk while he says; “Let’s see what lies they’re trying to sell us today.“
Phatty and the rest of us were throwing out a lot of comments making fun of some things… during the show… but it was good stuff.
What was a little bit of a surprise was Elias Koteas also playing a role in the film.
Remember him as Casey Jones in the original T.M.N.T. movie way back when?
I think I still own a copy of that sound track on cassette tape. (WTF?!)
Anyone else remember that? The sound track was actually pretty dope… it had M.C. Hammer, Hi-Tek 3, Spunkadelic and Partners In Kryme doing the Turtle Power song:
